Epoxy Garage Floor Coatings Services for Dana Point, CA

We have been helping home owners in Dana Point and throughout the south Orange County area for over 30 years with their epoxy garage floor coatings projects! We know, from experience, that a professional epoxy floor job will not only look great but also protect your garage floor for many years without failing. Our job is to identify potential problems such as filing cracks, removing dirt & oils & rust and make sure to repair those issues before laying the epoxy.

It’s all about the prep work.

At RJM Painting we know the prep work is the very most important part of the epoxy process. We make good use of our diamond grinding equipment to get the old concrete floor smooth and ready for the epoxy coating. The dust is kept to a minimum during the grinding process as the grinder is attached to a vacuum that collects 99% of the dust.

The quality house painting brands we trust most include: Sherwin Williams, Dunn-Edwards, West Marine and Sikkens.

Epoxy Garage Floor Coating Consultations

We offer color consultation and paint chip samples to ensure the floor colors are what you expect. We will work with you to find a color and product that is right for you. We will explain the process and how long it will take to complete.

The Process Includes:

  1. Prep – Prepare the old floor for expoxy by filling large cracks.
  2. Lay down the Epoxy primer coat – coat the floor with a 2 – part resin base epoxy primer, this will penetrate and seal the open pores of the concrete.
  3. Pigmented Polyurethane With UVR – Next we add a pigmented coat of polyurethane. If the floor color is going to be solid then a non slip material is e added and the project is complete.
  4. Granite Chip Flex – If a granite chip flex system is preferred it will be applied at this time.
  5. Urethane Seal 135 – Urethane Seal 135 is applied to flatten the flex chips down.
  6. Polyurethane Topcoat – A clear 2 – part aliphatic polyurethane with UVR is now applied. Non slip can be added at this time, at no charge.
